§ 1 Information about collection of personal data

  1. Below, we inform you about the collection of personal data when you use our website. Personal data are all the data which can be related to you personally, e.g. name, address, e-mail addresses, behaviour.

  3. When you contact us by e-mail or via  contact form, the data shared by you (your e-mail address, if applicable your name and telephone number) is stored by us in order to reply to your questions. We delete the data provided in this context after storage is no longer necessary or restrict the processing in the event of statutory archiving periods existing.
  4. If we have recourse to commissioned service providers for individual functions of our offer or would like to use your data for advertising purposes, we will inform you below in detail about the procedures in question. We also state the stipulated criteria of the  storage duration.

§ 2 Your rights

  1. You have the following rights towards us regarding the personal data concerning yourself:

§ 3 Collection of personal data when you visit our website

If your use of the website is merely for information, i.e. if you do not register or transmit information to us in any other way, we only collect the personal data which your browser transmits to our server. If you would like to look at our website, we collect the following data, which are technically necessary for us, in order to display the website to you and to guarantee stability and security (the legal foundation is Art. 6 subparagraph 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR):

In addition to the aforementioned data, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files which are stored on your hard disk with assignment to the browser used by you and with which the place setting the cookie (in this case by us) receives certain information. Cookies cannot start any programmes or transfer viruses to your computer. They serve to make the internet offer more user-friendlymore effectiveservice.

§ 4 Further functions and offers of our website (login area)

  1. Alongside use of our website purely for information, we offer various services, which you can use if you are interested. For this, you must, as a rule, state further personal data, which we use to render the service in question and to which the aforementioned principles on data protection apply.
  2. Sometimes, we use external service providers to process your data. They have been selected and commissioned by us carefully, are bound by our instructions and are controlled regularly.

  3. In addition, we can forward your personal data to third parties if participation in actions, competitions, conclusion of contracts or similar services are offered by us together with partners. You will receive more information on this when you input your personal data or below in the description of the offer.
  4. As soon as our service providers or partners have their registered office in a state outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we inform you about the consequences of this situation in the description of the offer.

§ 5 Objection against or withdrawal of the processing of your data

  1. If you have granted consent for the processing of your data, you can withdraw it at any time. Such a withdrawal influences the lawfulness of the processing of your personal data after you have proclaimed it to us.

  2. If we base the processing of your personal data on a balancing of interests, you can make an objection against the processing. This is the case if the processing is in particular not necessary for the performance of a contract with you, which is portrayed by us in each case in the following description of the functions. When you make such an objection, we request that you state the reasons why we are not to process your personal data.. In the event of your substantiated objection, we examine the factual situation and will either stop or adapt the data processing or show you our cogent reasons worthy of protection on the basis of which we continue the processing.

§ 6 Contact forms
On our internet sites, you can send us messages via contact forms. We process the personal data contained in the contact form to handle the contact inquiry and to get into contact with the person making the inquiry.
After dealing with the contact inquiry, we erase the data after six weeks unless we can prove cogent reasons worthy of protection which prevail over the data subject's rights and interests or processing serves to establish, to exercise or to defend legal claims.

§ 7 Use of Google Analytics

  1. This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files which are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of the use of the website by you. As a rule, the information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. In the event of activation of IP anonymisation on this website, your IP address is however curtailed beforehand by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other contract states of the European Economic Area Treaty. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and curtailed there. By order of the operator of this website, Google will use this information in order to evaluate the use of the website, in order to collate reports about the website activities and to render further services connected with the use of the website and the internet for the operator of the website.
  2. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics is not put together with other data from Google.

This website uses Google Analytics with the “anonymizeIP()” extension, as a result of which the IP addresses are only further processed in a curtailed form, thus ruling out a direct possibility of relating them to a person. Insofar as a relationship to a person can be seen in the data collected about you, it is immediately ruled out and the personal data are thus erased without delay.

  5. We use Google Analytics in order to analyse the use of our website and regularly to improve it. The statistics obtained help us to improve our offer and to make it more interesting for you as the user.   7. This website additionally uses Google Analytics for an analysis of visitor flows across computers, which is carried out via a user ID.

§ 8 DoubleClick by Google


  1. This website also uses the DoubleClick online marketing tool by Google. DoubleClick uses cookies to place adverts which are relevant for the users, to improve the reports on campaign performance or to avoid having users see the same adverts multiple times. Using a cookie ID, Google records the advertisements placed in a browser and can prevent them from being displayed repeatedly  this way. Moreover, DoubleClick can record so-called conversions with a relationship to advert inquiries with the help of cookie IDs. This is the case, for example, if users see a DoubleClick advert and later accesses the advertiser's website with the same browser and purchase something there. According to Google, DoubleClick cookies do not contain any personal information.

  2. On the basis of the marketing tool used, your browser automatically makes a direct connection to the Google server. We have no influence on the scope and the further use of the data collected as a result of the use of this tool by Google and are therefore informing you according to the state of our knowledge: by the integration of DoubleClick, Google receives the information that you have accessed the matching part of our internet appearance or have clicked on one of our adverts. Insofar as you have registered with a Google service, Google can allocate the visit to your account. Even if you have not registered with Google or have not logged in, there is the possibility that the provider finds out and stores your IP address.

§ 9 Use of social media plug-ins


  1. We currently use the following social media plug-ins: [Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Xing, T3N, LinkedIn, Flattr]. We use the so-called two-click solution. This means that when you visit our site, no personal data are forwarded to the providers of the plug-ins to start with as a matter of principle. You recognise the provider of the plug-ins via the marking on the box above the initial letter or the logo. We offer you the possibility of communicating directly with the provider of the plug-in through the button. Only if you click on the marked field and thus activate it, does the plug-in provider receive the information that you have accessed the matching website on our online offer. In addition, the data stated under § 3 of this declaration are transmitted. When it comes to Facebook and Xing, the IP address is anonymised immediately after collection according to information from the providers in Germany. So by activating the plug-in, personal data are transmitted by you to the plug-in provider in question and stored there (in the USA for American providers). As the plug-in provider in particular collects the data via cookies, we recommend that you delete all cookies via the security settings of your browser before you click on the box with the grey background.

  2. We have no influence on the data collected and data processing procedures, nor are the complete scope of data collection, the purposes of the processing or the storage periods known to us. We also have no information on erasure of the collected data by the plug-in provider.

  3. The plug-in provider stores the data collected about you as use profiles and uses them for purposes of advertising, market research and/or design of the website to match requirements. Such an evaluation is in particular done (also for users who are not logged in) to portray advertising matching requirements and in order to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have a right of objection against the formation of these user profiles, in which context you must contact the plug-in provider in question in order to make use of it. With the plug-ins, we offer you the possibility of interacting with the social networks and other users, with the result that we improve our offer and can make it more interesting for you as the user.   4. Data is forwarded independent of whether you possess an account with the plug-in provider and are logged in there. If you are logged in with the plug-in provider, your data collected with us is directly allocated to your account in existence with the plug-in provider. If you press the activated button and, for example, link the site, the plug-in provider also stores this information in your user account and publicly notifies this to your contacts. We recommend that you regularly log out after using a social network, however in particular before activating the button, as you can avoid allocation to your profile with the plug-in provider in this way.

§ 10 Incorporation of YouTube videos

  1. 
In our online offer, we have incorporated YouTube videos which have been stored on www.YouTube.com and can be played directly from our site. [They have all been incorporated in the "extended data protection mode“, i.e. that no data about you as a user are transmitted to YouTube if you do not play the videos. Only when you play the videos are the data stated in subparagraph 2 transmitted. We have no influence on this data transmission.]

  2. By the visit to the website, YouTube is given the information that you have accessed the sub-page of our site in question. In addition, the data stated under § 3 of this declaration are transmitted. This is done independent of whether YouTube provides a user account via which you are logged in or no user account exists. As the data processing by third parties is outside of our control, we cannot assume any responsibility for this. § 13 Data security

During the visit to the website, we use the popular SSL method (Secure Socket Layer) in conjunction with the highest encryption level which is supported in your browser. As a rule, this is a 256 bit encryption. If your browser does not support any 256 bit encryption, we instead have recourse to 128 bit v3 technology. You can tell whether an individual page of our internet appearance is transmitted encrypted by the closed portrayal of the key or lock symbol in the bottom status bar of your browser.
